Your Fortify SSC instance must be accessible via DNS. Please ensure that you have assigned a public DNS record that is resolved to your instance, with an SSL certificate defined for the domain you configured.
Connect Your Application
Visit Connected Applications on the sidebar. Click on the Connect button for Fortify.
There is only one step to initiate the communication between Valven and your Fortify SSC;
After clicking the Connect button for Fortify, please register your Fortify SSC URL and Access Token fields with;
- Your Fortify SSC URL
- The Access Token you can take from your Fortify SSC
Obtain Fortify SSC Access Token
There are a couple of steps to take the access token from the Fortify SSC and use it to complete the authentication with Fortify SSC;
Step 1: Open https://<YOUR_FORTIFY_SSC>/html/ssc/admin/tokens address to create an access token. Click on New Button.
Step 2: In the create page, select the Token Type as AutomationToken and set the Token description details shown in the following visual.
Step 3: On the next page, you will see the generated access token. Take note of this token for any possible future use.
Verifying the Connection
After obtaining the access token and registering it with the URL information to connect Valven with the Fortify SSC, you should be redirected to the Valven Connected Apps screen.
Being redirected to the Valven Connected Apps screen with the 'Connected' label at the top, the project name, and the disconnect icon in your Fortify SSC section indicates that Valven integration to your Fortify SSC is completed successfully.
