Integrating with Bitbucket Cloud

Connect Your Application

Visit Connected Applications on the sidebar. Click on the Connect button for Bitbucket Cloud. The Connect button will present two options to integrate Valven into the Bitbucket Cloud account; Bitbucket Application and API Token.

Application 

The first method to establish communication between Valven and the Bitbucket Cloud is through the Bitbucket Application. In three simple steps, the application integration can be completed. 

Step 1: You will be redirected to Bitbucket where you will need to authorize access to your organization.

Step 2: After authorization, you will be redirected to Valven, in case you wish to add another Git or issue repository.

API Token

After Clicking on the Connect and API Token option, you can provide your Bitbucket Email address to the email field and the API Token you get from Bitbucket to the API Token field.

Obtain API Token

Step 1: Proceed to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens address and click on the "Create API token with scopes" button, then define the name as Valven (be sure to choose expire date for 1 year), select the following permissions and click Next:

• read:account
• read:me
• read:project:bitbucket
• read:pullrequest:bitbucket
• read:repository:bitbucket
• read:user:bitbucket
• read:workspace:bitbucket

Step 2: Take note of the API token value you get after you click on the Create button.

Verifying the Connection

In both options, you should be redirected to the Valven Connected Apps screen after completing the actions explained in this document. 

Being redirected to the Valven Connected Apps screen with the 'Connected' label at the top, the project name, and the disconnect icon in your Bitbucket section indicates that Valven integration to your Bitbucket Cloud is completed successfully.

Your repositories in the Bitbucket can be associated with Valven to analyze the Git Management data of your respective projects to provide extensive insights and highlight the areas to improve.
