Before beginning, if your Bitbucket Server instance is behind a firewall, please whitelist our IP addresses:

Your Bitbucket Server instance must be accessible via DNS. Please ensure that you have assigned a public DNS record that is resolved to your instance, with an SSL certificate defined for the domain you configured.
Connect Your Application
Visit Connected Applications on the sidebar. Click on the Connect button for Bitbucket Server.
Note: The defined timezone for Bitbucket Server and Valven Atlas should be the same.
There is only one step to initiate the communication between Valven Atlas and your Bitbucket Server;
After clicking the Connect button for Bitbucket Server, please register your Bitbucket Server URL, Username, and Access Token fields with;
- Your Bitbucket Server URL
- The Username from your Bitbucket platform
- The Access Token you can take from your Bitbucket platform
Obtain Bitbucket Server Username
Your Bitbucket username can be retrieved from the https://<YOUR_BITBUCKET_SERVER>/profile address.
Obtain Bitbucket Server Access Token
There are a couple of steps to take the access token from the Bitbucket Server and use it to complete the authentication with Bitbucket;
Step 1: Open https://<YOUR_BITBUCKET_SERVER>/account address to create an access token. Navigate to the HTTP Access Tokens tab and click on Create.
Step 2: In the create page, set the Token name and define the same permission details shown in the following visual.
- Project permissions: read
- Repository permissions: Repository read
Step 3: On the next page, you will see the generated access token. Take note of this token for any possible future use.
Disabling the Rate Limit
For a faster synchronization with Valven Atlas, the Bitbucket rate limit should be disabled. Navigate to https://<YOUR_BITBUCKET_SERVER>/admin/rate-limit address, set the Rate limiting off, and save.
Verifying the Connection
After obtaining the access token and registering it with the URL and username information to connect Valven Atlas with the Bitbucket Server, you should be redirected to the Valven Atlas Connected Apps screen.
Being redirected to the Valven Atlas Connected Apps screen with the 'Connected' label at the top, the project name, and the disconnect icon in your Bitbucket Server section indicates that Valven Atlas integration to your Bitbucket Server is completed successfully.
Your repositories in the Bitbucket can be associated with Valven Atlas to analyze the Git Management data of your respective projects to provide extensive insights and highlight the areas to improve.
