Valven Atlas offers a robust User Management feature that allows you to manage users, control their access, and manage their permissions on feature level. This guide will walk you through the essential functionalities of User Management in Valven Atlas.
Where to find?
Click on your avatar at the bottom-left of the page. You will see "User Management" if you have access to this feature.
Adding Users:
Adding users to Valven Atlas grants them access to your reports, receive periodic emails and perform changes. To add new users, follow these steps:
- Access the User Management section in Valven Atlas.
- Select the "Add Atlas User" option, at the top-right of the user list.
- Provide the necessary details for the new user.
- Customize their permissions by selecting the appropriate access levels for specific features or modules.
- Confirm the user creation by clicking on "Save Changes", and Valven Atlas will add the new user.
Deleting Users:
When users no longer require access to your data on Valven Atlas, you can delete their accounts. Deleting users ensures that their access privileges and personal information are removed irreversibly from the system. Exercise caution when performing this action.
To delete a user, follow these steps:
- Access the User Management section in Valven Atlas.
- Locate the user you wish to delete. Select the "Delete User" option, by clicking on three dots on the right-side of the row.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted, and Valven Atlas will remove the user from the system.
Change User Status:
Valven Atlas provides the flexibility to enable or disable individual users, granting or revoking their access as needed. Disabling users prevents them from logging in, while enabling them grants access to Valven Atlas features and functionalities.
To enable or disable users, follow these steps:
- Access the User Management section in Valven Atlas.
- Locate the user you want to enable or disable. Click on the toggle on the left-side of the row.
- Confirm the action, and Valven Atlas will adjust the user's access accordingly.
Edit User:
Valven Atlas allows you to edit existing users, to update their profile information or customize user permissions on a feature level, granting granular control over their access and actions.
To edit a user, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the User Management section in Valven Atlas.
- Locate the user for whom you want to edit. Select the "Edit User" option, by clicking on three dots on the right-side of the row.
- Update user's name, if you wish.
- Adjust the permissions settings for specific features or modules based on the user's role or responsibilities.
- Save the changes, and Valven Atlas will update the user accordingly.
