Connect Your Application
Visit Connected Applications on the sidebar. Based on the method you want to choose either select JIRA or JIRA/API Token under Issue Management Providers and click Connect.
JIRA Integration
Step 1: You will be redirected to JIRA where you will need to authorize access to your organization.
Step 2: After authorization, you will be redirected to Valven Atlas, in case you wish to add another Git or issue repository.
Step 3: Add a new project or include your repositories into an existing Project. For details, click here.
JIRA/API Token Integration
Step 1: After clicking on the Connect button, please fill your Atlassian URL, Email and API Token fields with;
- Your Atlassian URL
- The Email Address registered in your JIRA platform
- The Token you take from your JIRA platform
Step 2: Please proceed to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens and click on the Create API token button to get an API Token. Save it with the name Valven Atlas.
Step 3: Take note of the generated App Token after clicking on the Create button.
If you are redirected to the Valven Atlas Connected Apps screen, it means you have successfully completed the integration of your JIRA platform into Valven Atlas.
Now, you should see the Connected label and the name of your project under the JIRA or JIRA/API Token section.
Your repositories in the JIRA can be associated with Valven Atlas to analyze the Issue Management related data of your respective projects to provide extensive insights and highlight the areas to improve.
